Hi Everyone! I know these have been tough times, and they have been especially tough for our special needs community members in many ways. Autism Society of San Diego aims to provide camps for some of our most vulnerable members, including their annual Camp I Can and Surf Camp. While I know that we all have little to spare, I would like to courageously ask for any help you can offer for Caleb and other young people with autism to attend these camps this summer. These camps are a wonderful place for Caleb to learn new skills and to socialize in a safe and welcoming environment. Often, there are few options for our special needs children to truly have fun, meaningful interactions and experiences, and this has been especially true this past year. Camp I Can and Surf Camp provide these experiences and will be especially meaningful for Caleb and his peers due to the Covid shelter-in place.
